Happy New Year, dear crochet friends! Here’s to countless joyful hours with your hooks and yarn, and to all the exciting new projects 2025 has in store for you!
In 2024, I focused on achieving some significant business milestones that marked a shift in priorities. While I don't feel I created as many new patterns as in previous years, much of my energy went into building and launching a brand-new website. This was a massive undertaking that required careful planning, design, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work. The website has become a central hub for my crochet business, offering a better way to showcase patterns, connect with my audience, and provide resources for crochet enthusiasts. Although it was a different creative challenge, it was incredibly rewarding to see it come to life and take my business to the next level.
I also had the exciting opportunity to film and edit my very first Beginner's Amigurumi workshop for Bella Coco Crochet's, The Crochet Community. In this workshop, I was able to guide participants through creating Little Ted, a cute introduction to amigurumi. It was such a rewarding experience to share my love of crochet with beginners and collaborate with such a respected name in the crochet community - Sarah-Jayne Fragola of Bella Coco Crochet!

Feeling that I hadn’t created as many patterns as I’d hoped in 2024, I decided to challenge myself with a 12 Days of Christmas Collection. While I didn’t quite reach all 12 designs, I had a wonderful time bringing these festive little characters to life, and it very much put me in the festive spirit. Each piece was so much fun to create, and I’m so proud of the collection so far. The best part? This is just the beginning! I’m already looking forward to expanding it for Christmas 2025, with even more festive pieces to add to my Christmas tree.

I also had great joy in introducing the first design in my Petite Puppies Collection - Marley The Labrador - just in time for Christmas! A limited-edition version of his pattern included a festive bonus: an adorable little Santa hat.

Marley The Labrador - Limited Christmas Edition
Of all the patterns I created in 2024, Marley is perhaps the one I am most proud of. My goal was to design a puppy using my favourite bulky-weight chenille yarn, *Premier Parfait Chunky, that was both quick to make and entirely no-sew. Achieving this was especially important to me, given chenille yarn’s tendency to shed when sewing pieces together.
Inspired by a Beanie Baby-style stuffy from my childhood, Rusty the Kelpie, I set out to design my first Petite Puppy with the goal of recreating the same floppy, cuddliness Rusty offered. After spending more than three months refining Marley’s design in my mind - while juggling a few other projects - I finally put hook to yarn and pen to paper, and he came together in no time! The result is everything I hoped for—a quick, no-sew pattern that captures all the irresistible characteristics of a cuddly puppy.
I’m beyond excited to expand the Petite Puppies Collection in 2025 with new breeds, but Marley will always hold a special place as the first of the pack.
You can now find Marley available as a “Birthday Edition,” complete with a cute little party hat instead of his Santa hat.

Goals for 2025
My goals for Theodore and Rose in 2025 include fostering a stronger sense of community, expanding my blog with more free patterns, and growing the Petite Puppies Collection. I also want to challenge myself by creating more workshop-style or tutorial videos and increasing my overall filming efforts. On a local level, with both of my children showing interest in creating and selling their own products, I also plan to participate in more markets as a vendor.
On a personal front, I would like to achieve a better work-life-balance in 2025, creating more time to be spent with cherished family and friends. And in terms of self improvement - well I would love to get better at embroidery and master the art of making the perfect sourdough!
To stay focused and on track with my goals, I’ll be using my Goal Planner, which I’ve created as a FREE PRINTABLE—perfect if you’re looking to set your own goals for 2025!

Above all, my greatest wish for 2025 is to nurture and create a happy, joyful year for my family and those dearest to my heart.
Wishing you all a fantastic year ahead, filled with vibrant energy, endless joy, and, of course, plenty of incredible crochet adventures!
